Create zip file in linux command line

Create zip file in linux command line:-
Example 1: The command "zip -r d1.zip d1" will compress all files & sub folreds under the folder d1, and create a single zip file d1.zip.
Example 2: The command "zip all.zip a.c b.c c.c" will compress three files (a.c b.c & c.c) and crreate a single compressed file named all.zip.

Hello,

If you want to zip a directory then you have to use

zip -r directory1 directory1
